Q1 | Discovery + Recommendations
To initiate our engagement, Practice Clarity conducts a thorough review of how your firm builds business. After we receive information from you in response to our materials request, we begin our discovery process. This entails a comprehensive review of your firm’s financials, systems, materials and staffing achieved through research, analysis and interviews. We analyze the information you send and then schedule interviews with up to four principals and distribute an electronic survey to your staff. Once we’ve considered all the information, we summarize the results in a concise Discovery + Recommendations report (not longer than 15 pages) and deliver the information during two Results Presentations to the audience of your choosing.
Q2 | Position Statement
Our second initiative is to work with you to develop a Position Statement that reflects who your firm is, what you do, for whom and to what benefit. Q3 | Build Business Plan
Our third initiative it to develop a Build Business Plan. This is not a business plan. Nor is it a sales and marketing plan. A Build Business Plan is a client development plan that is supported by appropriate marketing tactics. Practice Clarity is not driven by a desire to make things (direct mail pieces, brochures, websites). We are we are much more interested in offering strategy, ideas and tactics that generate business and grow architectural firms. We like to help you build relationships that lead to better business for your firm. Q4 | Presentation Clarification
Architects are great presenters when they are talking about their work, but shift that to a client presentation to secure work and things get a little shaky.
Practice Clarity works with your firm on an actual presentation opportunity. This gives us the ability to immediately apply key strategies for improving presentation techniques. We work with you prior to the presentation to coach you through research gathering techniques. We then help develop your message including concepts, strategies and sequencing. We make suggestions about your materials. Three days before your presentation, we attend a rehearsal. After the presentation we suggest follow up tactics. Whether your firm secures the project or not, we conduct a debrief with up to three members from the selection committee.
